All tunings are to the international standard of A4 = 440 Hz. If your piano is significantly flat (commonly after moving, extended storage or very long gaps between tunings), a pitch raise at an additional S$50–S$80 may be required before the standard tuning can hold. We advise you in advance if this is needed.
Singapore's humidity typically ranges from 70%–90% RH, far higher than the 45–55% RH that is ideal for pianos. At high humidity, piano strings and the wooden soundboard and bridges absorb moisture, causing the wood to swell slightly and the strings to alter tension. When the air-conditioning is on, humidity drops, the wood contracts and string tension changes again. This daily cycle accelerates pitch drift significantly compared to temperate climate instruments.
The result: a Singapore home piano that was in tune at its last service will drift out of pitch faster than a piano in a dry climate. This is why twice per year is the minimum recommended tuning frequency for Singapore home pianos — and why some performance and school instruments benefit from quarterly tuning.

If your piano has not been tuned for several years, a pitch raise is often needed first to raise the overall pitch level to A440 before standard tuning can hold.
Learn more →Pianos should always be tuned after moving. The vibrations of transportation cause string tension to shift. Allow 2–4 weeks after moving before booking a tuning.

Learn more →Standard piano tuning (home visit, all areas of Singapore) costs S$120–S$180. If the piano is significantly below A440 and requires a pitch raise before standard tuning, this costs an additional S$50–S$80. Travel is included islandwide. We confirm the exact price when you book via WhatsApp.
Singapore's tropical humidity accelerates pitch drift more than in temperate climates. The recommended minimum for a home piano is twice per year. School, institutional and performance pianos benefit from tuning every 3 months. If your piano is played very frequently or is in an environment with large humidity swings (e.g., beside an air-conditioning unit), quarterly tuning is advisable even for home instruments.
Standard piano tuning takes 60–90 minutes at your home. If the piano requires a pitch raise first (piano is significantly below A440), allow 90–120 minutes for the appointment. Pianos that have been regularly tuned and maintained are generally faster to tune than those that have drifted significantly.
Tuning and repair are separate services. If we notice a fault during a tuning appointment (a broken string, a stuck damper, a loose action part), we will note it and provide a separate quote. Minor adjustments that take only a moment — such as repositioning a loose damper or seating a rattling component — may be included at no extra cost. Major repairs are quoted separately.
The international standard is A4 = 440 Hz. All our tunings are to A440 unless the owner requests a specific alternative — for example, to match an orchestra tuning at A442, or to maintain a historical instrument at a lower pitch. We use calibrated electronic tuning devices verified by ear for every appointment.
